We are enjoying the peanuts at the Lone Star Restaurant. Trust me when I tell you, despite it having the same name and menu as the one in the U.S., the two are not even remotely similar.

Ronald McDonald House

This is where I sit when I am volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House.

Mum and I stopped by today because I wanted to get all of the awkwardness out of the way before I start volunteering here again. Hmmm, it looks like someone made a friend.

Here we are at the Sugar and Spice Cafe in Ketumba. Cute name, eh?

Orchids

These orchids came from Rachelle. It was like watching fireworks explode day after day. This arrangement was ENORMOUS. I just loved the pink hue, so much so that we used this flower on the bulletins we gave out at Eden's memorial. Thank you Rachelle. You know me so well.

Jonathon thought it would be a great idea to take my mum for a picnic. Funny, she is always taking the photos and never in any of them!

Eden's Memorial Service

The baby blanket is a pattern that was in a set that Eden was often wrapped in in the incubator. The nurses were adamant that she was always in pink. Her baby pink Crocs are in front of the flower arrangment.

These are some VERY special people. Simon (Aimee's hubby), nurse Bel, nurse Abbey, me and Jonathon, and nurse Aimee.

Gifts for the NICU Nurses

One of the ways we found to deal with our grief was to bless the NICU nurses who were not only wonderful caregivers to Eden, but to us as well. This is nurse Aimee. She switched her day off to be with us the day Eden died, and she stayed eight hours after her shift was over with so we wouldn't be alone. "God, thank you for putting this wonderful and compassionate nurse in our path." Aimee, you have blessed us abundantly and we love you.

Banjo Patterson's

Mom took this photo of Jonathon and me at Banjo Patterson's. It is an extremely quaint and romantic restaurant overlooking a bay. During the day, you can wander down this path to the pier. It is very serene and just what we needed today. A place to ponder and reflect on Eden.
