Italian Lunch with Friends

Ian bought Amy her first Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. She refused to eat anything else after that first bite because she loved the taste so much. This might be the last one she ever shares with Ben.

Ian also bought me Almond Fingers. Oh Mylanta, they taste just like marzipan. Heaven....I'm in Heaven!

What a precious friend. Love you Amy!

Ian plays so many roles in my life. I think of him as my music mentor, my brother, my son and one of my closest friends. You are such a blessing to me.

Four Months Pregnant Today

Today marked another milestone - FOUR MONTHS PREGNANT!

Four of us decided to go out for lunch at my favourite Thai restaurant today, but we ended up with 11 people instead. What a fabulous time!

I was tickled pink to see Lindy pop into church tonight.  She lives two hours up the coast but was in Sydney helping a friend move.  What a wonderful, WONDERFUL surprise!   

Costco Grand Opening

I pay $9.99 at the grocery story for the 250 ml (about 1 cup) bottle of maple syrup on the right. The 973 ml (nearly four times the amount) is $13 at Costco!

The price difference between these two is only $2.00.

My favourite Costco purchase is Kirkland brand paper towels. The Aussie ones are much shorter and they don't tear at the perforation....

There are also a FEW more towels on the Costco roll. Jonathon figured out that they cost about the same.

Costco Grand Opening

I dragged Jonathon around the store for THREE HOURS. No wonder he's not smiling.

I usually pay $10.71 per pound for pistachios. At Costco, the price was only $6.30 per pound. Woohooo!

This is a HUGE thrill for me. I have never seen Monterey Jack Cheese in Australia. Too bad it's not pasteurized. I'll have to wait until the baby is born before I can melt some on top of my Mexican food.

Diana and Sunflower Seeds

Diana had never tried roasted and salted sunflower seeds. I couldn't let her leave tonight before giving them a go.

She absolutely LOVED them.

The Blue Plate

We hooked up with Pete and Fi for dinner tonight at The Blue Plate.

This is Pete's first taste of REAL lemonade. If you order it in Australia, you'll get a Sprite.

North Haven Beach

Oh, this was my favourite beach! It was remote, went on forever and was SOOOO peaceful. I could have spent all day walking along the shore. It should be called "Heaven Beach."

Although I prefer mountains and snow over the beach, I really do enjoy strolling arm and arm with my Honey on an empty one.

We had to leave because my pregnant belly was hungry.

Cliffs & Tacking Point Lighthouse

We stopped at each beach and lookout on the way home.

This was such a relaxing day. I only wish our girls could have been with us.

I was so thankful there were no "Beware of Snakes" signs. The last lighthouse we visited was in Augusta, Western Australia. Let's just say, I won't be going there again. : )

I am going to jump out on a limb and say this isn't used any longer. It was a wee bit rusty and in serious need of maintenance.

Port Macquarie

Jonathon surprised me with a weekend getaway to Port Macquarie to celebrate Eden's 2nd birthday.

The beaches in Sydney are so crowded. It was nice to have the place virtually to ourselves.
