Gift from Aunt Linda

What a spectacular gift...

Linda took our breath away when we saw this. She embroidered a gorgeous memorial to our precious baby girl. One of the photos is of her hands and the other of her feet. The verse is Psalm 9:1 which is on Eden's blog. (EdenLanay@blogspot.com)

Aimee is spending four weeks at home in New Zealand for Christmas. I wonder if her parents will consider adopting a 41 year-old American???

We worked on a crossword puzzle this morning. Oh my, did the tears flow when we came upon this: Eden, Heaven, and Amen!

Joel & Paul's Birthday

We celebrated Joel and Paul's birthday tonight. Joel wanted pavlova (yuck) and Paul requested pumpkin pie.

Thanksgiving

The Jonkhoffs invited us over for Thanksgiving this year. It was our first time celebrating the holiday since we have lived in Australia.

It's not Thanksgiving without the Cowboys. And we sure were "thankful" that they won!!

Jonathon's sister Linda sent Peter this T-shirt. He was so proud to wear it.

Most of the gang. The photo was taken at a very wonky angle. I had to chop a few people off to get it straight. Sorry Paul and David.

Stained Glass

Ang loves stained glass and hummingbirds. She sent this to me to remind me of a prayer request I gave her.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace. Romans 15:13

It hangs at eye level right over my kitchen sink. I am reminded every day of how much God and Ang love me. Now that really is GREAT comfort!

More of Eden's Mural

I got very emotional because I know how much love Kelly put into this project.

I love you Kelly! Thank you for the sweet memorial for Eden Lanay.

Eden's Mural

We are constantly amazed by the creativity of friends helping us heal over the loss of our baby girl. Kelly painted this mural in honour of Eden Lanay on one side of a building at her children's daycare centre.

Kelly painted Eden at 10 years old.

Her name is on her wrist.

Soooo many people fell in love with our Eden Lanay. God continues to bless us with these wonderful reminders.

There are three other children in this mural. One represents my baby brother Richie who died nearly eight years ago. The other two represent Aaron and Elizabeth, two babies whom Paul and Christina lost this year.

Cold Rock

Today we introduced the Jonkhoffs to Cold Rock Ice Cream. They are completely hooked.

This was a brilliant idea. When we got home the thermometer read 104 degrees F - AND IT'S NOT EVEN SUMMER YET!

Stonegrill

We met Paul & Christina at the Stonegrill for lunch today.

It was their first time cooking meat over a hot rock.

Tina Marie and JR

Paul really enjoyed this new experience.

It's smiles all around after a yummy lunch.

Miles

Miles called me up and said, "I'm in Bondi Beach." It took a few seconds to process that he was only 45 minutes away from us. What a fantastic surprise!

Creation Geology Walk

Creation Ministries International held a creation walk which was led by Dr. Tas Walker. He explained the massive 250 km wide delta known as the Sydney Basin and pointed out lots of geological evidence supporting a global flood. He's a very nice and knowledgeable man but also very boring!

Instead of paying attentio, I enjoyed the views (this one is from a golf course) and played with my camera.

Crocheting

Kelly gave me a beautiful crocheted blanket for my birthday. Today is lesson number one for me. We'll just have to wait to see if I end up with a pot holder or a blanket.

A Christmas Carol

Since the Maori (native New Zealanders) cultural event was already booked (due to the bus of Japanese tourists no doubt : ), we opted to go to the cinema to see "A Christmas Carol." I didn't care for it. The graphics actually made me feel a wee bit queasy. If you're going to see it, I'd recommend the 3D version.
